How long will our finished film be?
Although it is purely down to whatever is right for the film, our films tend to end up being roughly between 20 – 25 minutes long. It will be put together in a elegant and contemporary style and will include both the key points of your day and all of the smaller details and moments that will make your day just yours. The trailer will be a shortened version of your film and will be sent to you before the finished film. The trailer is also perfect for posting on social media should you wish.
How long will we have to wait before receiving our film?
We have an average turn around time of roughly 6 weeks after the date of your wedding. James will be contracted to take no longer than 3 months and we will stay in touch with you throughout the editing process to keep you updated on the development of your film.
How long will you spend editing our film?
James will be contracted to spend at least 5 working days putting your film together, although as perfectionists we tend to nearly always end up spending a bit longer on your film than this (obviously at no extra cost!)
What will we receive in our final package?
As standard, along with the 20-25 minute cinematic film and 3-5 minute trailer, you will receive a full multi-camera recording of both the ceremony and the speeches. These will then be viewable on a password-protected downloadable online album.
Will we be able to make any changes to our film after we have received it?
We are confident you will fall in love with your film on the first viewing although any requested initial adjustments can be made free of charge. Any further edits can be made at a cost of £30 per agreed hour of editing.
What areas do you cover?
We are based our of Manchester and the North West, however we cover the whole of the UK and we regularly travel the length of the country. In order to work to the best of our abilities we may ask that accommodation be provided if our travel time exceeds 3 hours. James Wray Wedding Films is also available to travel abroad for destination weddings.
When will you arrive on the day?
That’s up to you! We usually arrive at wherever the bride is getting ready around three hours before the ceremony although as it is your big day, it is completely how you want it!
Will we be mic’d during the ceremony?
For the best possible sound quality, we will mic the groom during the ceremony using a small clip-on mic that will be connected to a small recorder that will be slipped into a pocket.
How does the booking process work?
If you would like to book James Wray Wedding Films to film your day, simply get in touch via email or phone and we will get an e-contract sent to you online. We will also arrange a pre-wedding consultation phone call before your day. This gives us the chance to quickly get to know you before your big day and for you to discuss the arrangements of your day in more depth. It also gives you the chance to ask any further questions you may have. The full fee will be required at least 2 weeks before your wedding day.
How will we pay you?
We are able to take payment via bank transfer, cash or cheque.
