The Perfect Escape

Foxtail Barns is a brand new wedding venue located in the West Midlands, Staffordshire. I actually filmed one of the very first Foxtail Barns wedding videos in the summer of 2021, just weeks after it had first opened! It offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern design and has quickly become a popular destination for couples looking to tie the knot.

The estate is known as Consall Hall and is also home to the modern Tawny Hotel. It has beautiful sprawling grounds that include a rustic walled garden, vibrant wildflowers and a stunning lake. The gardens are a great spot for lawn games and portraits! Licensed for up to 150 guests, Foxtail Barns is run by the lovely people behind Best Day Ever Wedding Venues. They also run The Ashes in Leek and are a fantastic family-ran team.

Saying ‘I Do’ in Style at Foxtail Barns

Set amidst secluded woodland and surrounded by areas of natural beauty, Foxtail Barns has been carefully designed to reflect its rustic surroundings. The licensed ceremony room is a lovely Orangery that is flooded with natural light from its large floor-to-ceiling windows. It features exposed red brick walls with traditional oak beams, wrought iron and distressed woodwork. Ceremonies in the Orangery almost feel like they are both indoors and outdoors which makes it a brilliant option on less-than-perfect weather days.

The Party Barn is where the wedding breakfast and evening reception happen and can hold up to 150 guests. It features huge windows and circular modern chandeliers that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The vaulted ceiling of the barn provides a stunning backdrop and there is plenty of room for guests to mingle, dance, and have fun.

In addition to the ceremony and reception spaces, Foxtail Barns also offers a private dressing room for morning preparations. Running adjacent to the ceremony room (in the exact same way it does at Styal Lodge!), it is a naturally lit space with daylight flooding in through large skylights. Its a comfortable and relaxing environment for the bride and her bridesmaids. The venue also offers a variety of unique accommodation options for wedding guests including some very cool quirky huts! With its convenient location in the West Midlands and Staffordshire, Foxtail Barns is easy to get to and there are plenty of nearby hotels too.

It’s worth noting that Foxtail Barns has a policy of “No corkage!”, meaning that you will not be charged any additional fees for bringing your own drinks to the venue. This is a unique and appreciated feature for many couples, as it helps keep costs down and allows for more personalisation in terms of the type of drinks served at the wedding.

Foxtail Barns has a lot to offer for weddings and has been designed from the ground up to cater to a couple’s every need. With a stunning backdrop of rustic charm and modern design, the venue provides a blank canvas for all its couples to decorate and make their own.
