A Rustic Setting To Tie The Knot
Once part of the Manor of Rivington estate, Rivington Hall Barn dates back to the Saxon era and is a Grade II listed building. Originally used as a farm, it was taken over by Lord Leverhulme in 1905 and developed into a tea room. After World War II and some refurbishment, it became a venue for all types of events.
Today, the Salmon Family are in charge of everything that happens at Rivington Hall Barn and they have worked tirelessly to restore it to it’s full glory. Rivington Hall Barn has a fantastic award-winning family-ran ethos and provides the perfect backdrop for your special day. My favourite part of the venue has to be the stunning original beams which remind me of the ceremony space at Abbeywood Estate. One Of Lancashire’s Top Wedding Venues
Morning preparations often take place in the Georgian Manor House that overlooks the estate. It contains two opulent dressing rooms with large Georgian sash windows that flood the rooms with natural light. This creates a bright, airy, and spacious atmosphere which is perfect for your photography and film. The venue has a park location similar to the Ashton Memorial and offers stunning views over the grounds of Rivington Hall and you may even catch a glimpse of your guests starting to arrive!
One of the main things I love about the venue is that it truly is a blank canvas, ready for you to decorate and style to your taste. The barn can seat up to 180 wedding guests for your ceremony and you can walk the length of the entire room for the ultimate entrance. You can also opt to hold your ceremony at the picturesque Rivington Unitarian Chapel which is a stone’s throw from the Barn. The terrace at Rivington Hall Barn provides the ideal setting for celebratory drinks and canapés, surrounded by the fields and woodland that make up Lever Park.
