Discover The Magic Of Sandon Hall
Sandon Hall, located in the heart of Staffordshire in the Midlands, is a beautiful 19th-century country mansion that is surrounded by four hundred acres of lush countryside. Shrouded in stately allure, it is a hidden gem offering privacy and seclusion and can be found at the end of a mile-long private drive.
Sandon Hall was originally built in 1776 for Lord Harrowby and has been home to the Harrowby family ever since. The original house was a small Georgian building but was unfortunately destroyed after a large fire. It was rebuilt in the 19th century as a Neo-Jacobean mansion which still stands today. The expansive grounds of the hall are one of its standout features, providing ample space for idyllic outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Its size gives the venue the ability to host up to 600 guests, allowing it to host weddings of a variety of shapes and sizes.
Experience The Romance Of A Bygone Era
Despite its grandeur and much like Capesthorne Hall, Sandon Hall is an exclusive hire venue which means your wedding will be the only event happening on your big day. Not only does this stop you from worrying about running into another bride and groom but it also gives you the opportunity to become a fully-fledged lord and lady of the manor for the duration of your stay! The upstairs bridal suite rooms are the perfect place for the bridal party to make their final preparations. The house has a real quirky charm and has 10 stunning rooms that each have wonderful character. The vintage bird wallpaper in the Drawing Room is one of my favourite aspects of the exceptional interior!
Sandon Hall offers a variety of spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions which allows couples to really make the day their own. Religious ceremonies can take place in the nearby 13th-century All Saints Church which is always a popular choice. The church is a beautiful and historic setting for a wedding ceremony and is just a short drive from the hall.

The Conservatory and the Library provide two options for indoor ceremonies. The Conservatory is a bright and airy space that provides panoramic views of the picturesque gardens and is particularly great when the weather isn’t in our favour! The Library is much more intimate and has floor-to-ceiling windows that allow in tons of natural light.
Outdoor ceremonies are catered for at Sandon Hall and take place within the beautifully-kept gardens that can be transformed into a magical space for nuptials. Tipi receptions are also available within the grounds during the summer months for those couples looking for something a little more rustic and bohemian. The Saloon is one of Sandon’s main halls and is the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast. It is large and spacious and even features a grand staircase for you to make the ultimate entrance!
One of the best aspects of tying the knot in the UK is the wealth of options for settings that couples have. From city centre venues like RSA House in Central London to country manors in the Midlands, all bases are covered. Sandon Hall is one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Staffordshire, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s a storied wedding venue that has preserved many of its historic features and it offers the perfect combination of charm and luxury.
