A Serene Retreat
Abbeywood Estate is a magnificent 45-acre estate that has been a part of the picturesque Cheshire countryside for generations. We love to shoot Abbeywood Estate wedding videos and we shot out first wedding here back in 2018. A stone’s throw from Delamere Forest, the venue is known for its breathtaking gardens and luxurious Glasshouse which make it the perfect setting for a wedding. The estate has been home to the Rowlinson Family since 1987 and has undergone extensive work to transform it into one of Cheshire’s leading venues.
Discovering the Beauty of Abbeywood Estate
One of the key features of Abbeywood Estate is its Glasshouse which plays host to Abbeywood’s wedding breakfasts and evening parties. It is a huge conservatory and is similar in style to the beautiful conservatories found at Sefton Park Palm House and Sandon Hall. With windows all around it allows for an abundance of natural light to flood in creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The Glasshouse can cater for up to 190 guests and is the perfect location to capture stunning photos and videos of your special day.
For your welcome drinks and canapes, the Orangery is the ideal setting. This beautifully designed building is licensed for civil ceremonies and can hold up to 70 guests. If you’re looking for an outdoor ceremony in the warmer months, the Gazebo is a luxurious spot which surrounded by Abbeywood’s scenic grounds. It is located next to the Orangery in the exotic garden and is the perfect location for an intimate and romantic ceremony.
The Barn is another option for your ceremony. Retaining all of its original features including wooden beams and exposed brick walls, it is a stunning rustic space and can hold up to 120 guests. For those who are looking for religious ceremonies, there are many nearby churches such as the beautiful St John’s Church in Winsford.
Abbeywood Estate Wedding Videography
The main house and its picturesque architecture make a stunning backdrop for your photography and Abbeywood Estate wedding video. Bridal preparations also often take place in the main house, providing a stately setting for those finishing touches.
For me, the gardens at Abbeywood Estate are the headline feature of the venue. The venue is home to rare deciduous evergreen trees and there is a tropical garden featuring exotic plants and Trachycarpus palms. The Chapel Garden provides a serene setting for your guests and the surrounding woodland is particularly stunning. It really is the ideal venue for nature-loving couples.
