Heaton House Farm is a family-run wedding venue, located in the picturesque village of Ruston Spencer near Macclesfield. Situated on the borders of Cheshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire, the venue is surrounded by stunning countryside as far as the eye can see.
The original farmhouse was built in 1824 and is still a working farm today. It has been in the Heath family for seven generations and hosted its very first wedding over 25 years ago!
The venue features many dedicated spots that have each been designed exclusively for weddings. The bridal Pamper Room is a custom-built space dedicated to morning preparations, with full-length mirrors and a Prosecco fridge. It even its own private decking area, which allows you to take in the stunning surroundings outside!

The chic rustic barn is the perfect spot for an indoor wedding ceremony and can accommodate up to 120 guests. It features sandstone walls, oak beams, and beautiful fairy lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for your nuptials. It has a similar vibe to Owen House Wedding Barn and Sandhole Oak Barn, with the former set on a working farm too!
Over the years, the venue has expanded to include other spaces for ceremonies such as the oak pagoda at the rear of the venue. This area plays host to Heaton House’s outdoor ceremonies and allows for up to 150 guests. For religious ceremonies, there are many nearby churches including a lovely one in Macclesfield Forest.
The Steeles Barn is where your wedding breakfast will be served and is one of Heaton House Farm’s standout features. It is spacious yet intimate and can be decorated exactly to your taste, with huge drapes and circular lights hanging down from its rafters. For your evening party, the Wedding Barn is the perfect spot to dance the night away!

Despite its rural setting, Heaton House Farm is easily accessible by car, being just an hour’s drive from Manchester. The venue offers accommodation for over 30 guests in 15 rooms and there is also no shortage of B&B’s in nearby Macclesfield.
With over 165 acres of grounds to explore, the venue offers tons of photographic opportunities around the grounds. The venue’s scenic water garden and rolling fields are just some of the backdrop choices for portraits and you haven’t been married at Heaton House Farm if you haven’t had a photo with its iconic oak tree!
