Industrial Chic At Its Best
Describing itself as an ‘Unconventional venue’, Victoria Warehouse is one of the coolest and most exciting wedding venues in Manchester. Located in the shadow of Man United’s iconic Old Trafford stadium, this converted cotton mill and live music venue is a very popular choice for couples looking to tie the knot in an industrial and alternative setting.
Victoria Warehouse was built in the early 1900s as a storage facility and was set in the heart of a bustling hub of commerce for decades. Serving as a symbol of the city’s industrial strength, the warehouse was one of the largest facilities in the area and played a crucial role in the transportation of raw cotton from around the world.
As the industry evolved however, so did the warehouse. With the demand for large event spaces on the rise, Victoria Warehouse underwent a major renovation which turned it into a live music venue and event space which now hosts some of the biggest names in music.
A Wedding Venue Like No Other – Victoria Warehouse
Made up of two adjoining areas spread across 700 sqm, The Bays plays host to most of the warehouse’s weddings and provides a very cool backdrop to your day. It’s a spacious setting and is able to accommodate up to 400 guests for a reception and 250 guests for a civil ceremony. It is full of character and boasts steel pillars, concrete floors and exposed original brickwork, creating an intimate yet dramatic atmosphere. With hardly any windows, the low-light levels give it a real cinematic quality that is hard to find in other venues.
The warehouse’s colour-changing down-lighters only add to the ambiance, while the fairy-lit pillars give the venue an almost ethereal quality. Complete with its own bar and outside porch area, The Bays is a true blank canvas which allows couples to create the wedding of their dreams.
